Meet the Four Elements
Safari: living in the bush
Beach: living on the sea
Most likely you’ll arrive in Arusha. From here you can do the typical
but still dazzling northern circuit - Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro and the Serengeti.

Probably one of the last truly remote and untouched but secure National Parks in Tanzania. If you go, visit Katavi and Ruaha National Park.
Katavi
Katavi National Park is one of the great wildlife experiences of the world.
Miles from anywhere, it has almost mythical status, and is thought to have a
greater density of mammals than any other Tanzanian reserve.

Ruaha
The dry season in Ruaha rivals any park in Tanzania for sheer action and variety.
You’ll see a wide range of species - from lion, buffalo and elephant to
greater and lesser kudu, sable and roan antelope, with even a good chance of
wild dogs. Low tourist numbers and open-sided vehicles add to the experience.

After your extraordinary adventure out in the bush, you might welcome the deep blue sea. Zanzibar, probably Tanzania’s most famous island, has unfortunately been taken over recently by mass tourism. If you still want to try it out, stay at The Palms. If you prefer a remote resort, check out the Fundu Lagoon and the private island of Mnemba. If you want to discover an up and coming star go to Mozambique – the beaches are much nicer as the tides are not as strong.

Alternatively, you can just do part of the journey – great, but not as
highly recommended as the Eastern Orient Express from Singapore to Bangkok.
